Amanda Webb resides in Alexandria, LA, where she is currently the tumor registry coordinator for CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital. Amanda received a bachelor’s of science degree in health information management and business administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL) in 1999.

Upon graduation, Amanda began her career at Rapides Regional Medical Center (RRMC) as an inpatient and outpatient coding analyst. During this time, she obtained registered health information administrator credentials. While at RRMC, Amanda transitioned into the role of tumor registrar, a position in which she remained until the summer of 2002 when she made the decision to be a stay-at-home mom to her twin girls. During her time in the tumor registry, Amanda was fortunate to have established many positive working relationships with other professionals in the cancer registry and related health care fields.

In December of 2004, Amanda rejoined the workforce when she returned to RRMC as a contract coding analyst and tumor registrar. In this role, she helped eliminate backlogs in coding and maintained timely abstracting.

In May of 2006, Amanda was given the opportunity to become the coordinator of the tumor registry at St. Frances. Following this transition, Amanda obtained certified tumor registrar credentials. This past May, she led the cancer program in its survey by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, which granted the facility a three-year accreditation with commendation.

Amanda is a current member of the National Cancer Registrars Association and the Louisiana Cancer Registrars Association, where she serves as the historian. In addition, she is returning to ULL this fall to pursue a master’s degree in business administration with a focus in health care.
