CSv2 Speakers Bureau

The following list of Collaborative Stage Version 2 (CSv2) Speakers Bureau members were trained to deliver presentations and case exercises that address the following sites included in version two of the Collaborative Stage Data Collection System. The Speakers Bureau members are not employed by the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) and the AJCC does not endorse any specific individual. All speaking commitments are between the host facility/organization and the speaker. Speakers Bureau members set their own fees and are responsible for working with the host facility/organization to schedule presentations and define associated costs. The host facility/organization is responsible for applying for continuing education (CE) credit hours from the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA).

Speakers Bureau members are available to train on the following sites beginning September 15, 2009:

  • Breast presentation and exercises
  • Colorectal presentation and exercises
  • Head and neck presentation and exercises
  • Prostate and GU presentation and exercises
  • Lung presentation and exercises
  • CSv2 overview of changes

Speaker Bureau members will be available to train on the following additional sites beginning December 10, 2009:

  • Skin/Merkel cell/melanoma presentation and exercises
  • Liver/bile ducts presentation and exercises
  • Lymphoma/hematopoietic presentation and exercises
  • GIST/neuroendocrin presentation and exercises
  • GYN presentation and exercises

Presentation summary:

Each site-specific Webinar will present the following:

  1. An overview of the CSv2 manual, with emphasis on new changes
  2. Explanations for ambiguous terminology
  3. Histology exclusion groups
  4. Advanced abstracting of site-specific factors

The learning objectives are to

  1. Understand the rationale behind changes and updates to Collaborative Stage (CS)
  2. Understand the use of codes and the reporting of CS
  3. Determine the proper use of codes for accurate reporting in CS
  4. Understand how to locate specific documentation relative to site-specific factors (SSFs) within CS.
