| The Collaborative Staging Task Force formed in 1998 with a mission to develop a translation or method between the AJCC TNM staging system and the SEER Extent of Disease (EOD) and Summary Staging System. Such a translation would eliminate duplicate data collection by cancer reporting to clinical (facility-based) and epidemiologic (central) registries.
The Collaborative Staging web site serves as the main repository for CS-related items including publications, software, educational activities, etc., for cancer registrars and cancer registry software vendors

A Vendor/IT Town Hall is scheduled for Monday, March 30 at 3:00 pm ET. Calling All Collaborative Stage Vendors! Attend an Upcoming CSv2 Vendor Meeting The Collaborative Stage (CS) Information Technology Team would like to invite all cancer registry software vendors, individuals who manage data for central registries, and those that develop and manage in-house or stand alone systems to a meeting to discuss implementation of Collaborative Stage Version 2. Two meetings have been scheduled in May and June which will be followed by one or two webinars sponsored by NAACCR in late summer/early fall for individuals who were not able to attend the in-person meetings. Some topics for discussion will include the CSv2 system design and walk through, preliminary specifications for the DLL, suggestions for User Operating Notes, the timeline, and plans for rollout of the final CSv2 software. An agenda will be distributed closer to the date of each meeting. You are welcome to join either meeting or both so please make note of the following dates, times, and locations and plan to participate. Collaborative Staging: Stay on Top of the Latest Changes is an online education presentation available through the AJCC/CoC Web Conference Series. This program provides a basic understanding of the rationale behind the changes in CS Version 01.04.00, released October 31, 2007, effective for 2008 cases. It will guide participants through the changes to accommodate staging in the neoadjuvant therapy setting for many sites and will highlight many of the clarifications instituted to improve the accuracy of coding the various collaborative staging fields. This can be viewed any day of the week, at any time. This presentation provides NCRA approved 1 hour CE credit.
